Behind The Inspiration

what made me want to become an interior decorator

Love of design and fashion runs deep in the female side of my family. My ultra-glamorous grandmother built a mid-century modern home and filled it with luscious textiles and accents from her travels. She was especially fond of Asian art and not shy about using gold leaf in her objets d’art or furniture - and adored using velvet on just about anything. My mother developed and then perfected the fashion and accessories element of my grandmother’s love of style. Her artistic expression is best expressed in the way she exquisitely combines designer and consignment pieces to achieve an inimitable look. I am greatly influenced by and indebted to them both for so much.

Walking into a beautiful space makes my heart flutter and leaves me a little breathless. Luxurious fabrics make me want to roll in them! I delight in the mixture of design styles and layering to give a room depth and interest.

I am driven by the thrill of the hunt and finding that unique piece or decorative theme to set my client apart – always with complete attention to the budget. And I also very much love to shop with my clients!
